Alice Shanahan

Alice Shanahan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a qualified Financial Advisor. Before founding Burns Shanahan in 1990, Alice worked in Deloitte and Touche, Dublin and Grant Thornton, London.
In London, she gained valuable industry experience as a Financial Controller for Gerald Metals Ltd, a US multi-national commodity broker, with a seat on the London Metal Exchange and the London Financial Futures and Options Exchange.
On her return to Ireland in 1990, she set up Burns Shanahan with Kieran Burns and, today, specialises in strategic business management and corporate and personal taxes.
Kieran Burns

Kieran Burns is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and an accredited Mediator. A partner in Burns Shanahan since 1998, he previously worked in Deloitte and Touche, Dublin and PWC, London.
His industry experience was gained from his time as European Finance Manager for Alcoa, a global aluminium company, and as Finance Director for the Stafford Group, an Irish-owned company engaged in the energy, shipping, sports retail and property arenas.
Kieran has 20 years' experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, acquisitions, restructuring businesses and resolving commercial disputes.
Paula Somers

Paula Somers is a Chartered Accountant who holds an Honours Degree in Business and Computing from Limerick Institute of Technology.
Previously, she worked in Horwath Bastow Charleton, Dublin, the representative firm in Ireland of Horwath International, a worldwide group of independent accountancy firms with over 400 offices in 370 cities. She also gained valuable experience in the hotel industry before joining Burns Shanahan.
Aidan Sinnott

Aidan has a Masters Degree in Business from Waterford Institute of Technology. He manages our Bookkeeping, Payroll and Outsourcing Department. Since he joined our team in 2008, he has become a Company Secretarial expert.
Aidan helps our clients save money, collect cash and recover slow paying debtors. He also ensures that all our clients are fully compliant with all VAT, Payroll, and Company Secretarial Returns.
